Mystical Journey Around Ireland Day 2

It’s my second day in Ireland and I am just over the moon excited to see what I am going to be experiencing. I know coming here is going to be a spiritual and healing experience that was going to be profound, but i wasn’t sure how it was going to look, I was just open to anything coming my way and experiencing my vision: playing in the fields like a little child.

Our first stop as a group was Newgrange; such a energetic and powerful site. The Megalithic Passage Tomb at Newgrange was built about 3200 BC. The kidney shaped mound covers an area of over one acre and is surrounded by 97 kerbstones, some of which are richly decorated with megalithic art. It was amazing to feel the energy of the land and to feel already so connected.

As we walked into this ancient site you can see carvings, groves from early people that use this temple for spiritual significance. It was really tight walking through the mini maze to make it to the center, but it was beautiful. As we got to the center the tour guide turned off all the lights so you could experience what it felt like to only have the natural light seap in through the entrance. Our group closed our eyes and held hands to really connect with this ancient space; sealed with a vibrational OM as it reverberated off the walls, it was so powerful I had had goose bumps all through my body.

Our time at Newgrange was coming to an end and it was time to walk back to the main entrance where our bus was located. It was about a 30 min walk and in the typical adventurist fashion a couple of us got lost and took the wrong turn. We had such a friendly local come to our rescue and drove a car full of women back to the museum, I have to say we made his day. Haha 🙂

While we were lost, and without realizing it, we happen to have our wonderful photographer friend with us, Monique, and we all took turns finding beautiful places to explore and take pictures.

Do you define your friends or Do they define you?

Have you heard of the sayings?

Show me who your friends are and I can tell you who you are?

or

The top 5 people you spend the most time with is a reflection of you, this also extends to your views of money, relationships, communications, values etc..

When I was in my late teens I thought the idea of being judged based on my friendships was ridiculous mainly because my grandmother, that would quote me saying this, was extremely judgmental. We all have a super judgmental person in the family, that their intentions are to help but their execution is terrible.

As I got older, and was dealing with lots of transition in my life, I came across a group of people in the self-help world that would teach about the 9 Foundations of Life, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people that have the lifestyle you desire to have. This is where the saying “you are a reflection of the top 5 people you spend the most time with” stems from and this blew my mind! Not because it was the first time I’ve heard it but because it finally clicked and made sense to me. It was time to de-clutter my friendships and family members. Yes, family falls into this category. So, I can start shifting my perspective of what I wanted versus getting bad advice from others that their lives full of debt, drama, drugs, and bad decisions. I was a single mother with a toddler and a teenage sister that I had gotten full custody of; I knew in order for me to show them a better life I had to uplift myself start to live a life I knew I wanted and that they deserved… “I had to be the change I wished to see in the world,” and it started with my internal world. This is when my healing journey of SELF LOVE started. It wasn’t pretty. I was viewed as being selfish and cold-hearted but I had to constantly remind myself this is about what I need, and my kids need, and that is more important than anything. When you start the journey of self-love, putting healthy boundaries on people that used to step all over you, they sure as hell don’t like it because they can’t control you anymore. I learned through the years the more I stand in my power the more others, and my children, realize what that looks like so they welcome in good people with quality, support and respect. They learn how to create win-win relationships vs people that take. Being in a place of growth can sometimes be sad because of how many old friends you leave behind… but it puts you in a better place to surround yourself with positive and great influential people that make a difference in the world.

As I started to visualize the kind of friends I wanted in my life, and how it felt to have those friends God, the Universe or whatever you believe in, started welcoming those people into my life. I got to meet some amazing people, paying it forward and really making an impact on the world. They were walking their talk and they were so full of love, it was a beautiful experience. So many doors had open for me and then a magical thing happened: Feng Shui was introduce into my life.

My first mentor gave me the best advice I could ever ask for:

NEVER TAKE ADVICE ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS, MONEY, ETC. FROM SOMEONE THAT DOESN’T HAVE THE LIFESTYLE YOU WANT TO HAVE “This includes family”.

Exercise Visualizing the Top 5 people you will spend the most time with:

“Remember this won’t happen overnight. The deeper in you go on your journey of self-love will sometimes change your friendships. It’s a part of the growth processes”

1. Grab a piece of paper or journal

2. Play soft instrumental music to get you in the zone “YouTube is great”

3. Make a list of what a friend is to you

4. Make a list of what is acceptable and not acceptable to you in a friendship

5. Make a list of what you want in a friend, and how they make you feel in the relationship.

“Maybe it’s support, encouragement, being understood, etc.”

6. How do YOU make this new friend feel in the relationship?

7. Close your eyes and envision the relationships you currently have with friends and family that fit in the category of what’s not acceptable to you in this relationship. Tell them “thank you” for all the lessons they have taught you and see yourself letting them go and sending them love as they walk away. “The people you are letting go out of your life aren’t bad people, they are just heading in a different path and journey then you. In order to make room for new support you got to let go of the old to welcome in the new”

8. If you are experiencing guilt and fear, you can ask yourself why and write about it on this piece of paper to have a better understanding in what area of life you need to heal or go deeper when it comes to relationships.

9. After you energetically release the old relationships, close your eyes and envision the new relationships you are cultivating. What does it feel like to be around them? What do you do together? How is your life starting to shift? Try to invoke your 5 senses to make it as real as possible.

My First Post

So this is my first blog ever!!

I’ve been avoiding it for years for the mere fact that English was my second language when it came to reading and writing, so for a long time I would get criticized about my writing and the way I say things. So today is the first day I take a stand and stand in my power and really take the time to express myself and my personality and what it is that I bring to the world. It’s been an interesting journey of facing my fears and obstacles and shining light on the areas of my life I rather not face. It’s amazing how the one thing we hide away from, the one thing we are fearful of is the thing we need to face and need to address.

How many times have we tried to avoid something in our lives and come to find out we were walking a full circle back to the original issue you didn’t want to face and you’re like, “damn… this shit again?!” I couldn’t tell you how many times that’s happen to me.

Even now, since I’ve been on this healing journey I’ve realize the areas in my life I find fearful to address are the things I work towards that I want to heal on or the things I am fearful of are the things I need to do.

Have you ever noticed when you’re fearful of posting something on Facebook or fearful about whatever your fear is, it’s usually a good indicator you are on the right path…

Your body has these responses where it’s like when I had to speak in front of people for the first time in business, I was so nervous I wanted to do everything perfect and right and the more I obsessed and thought about it over and over again the more anxiety I was creating and working myself up. I realized that your body has this response of fight or flight when you put your body in a state where it thinks its dying and needs to go into survival mode. But the reality is its just your body and mind trying to protect you but there is not threat the only threat is facing your fear which is very powerful. I am taking a stand and facing my fear today and welcoming you to my first blog

What it Takes to Increase Your Productivity

The goal for everyone, including you, is to increase Results, while decreasing Effort, to ensure Productivity is either maintained or increased.

productivity-_effort-resultsNeedless to say, this is much easier said than done. But what if I told you there was a way to do this with little struggle or work: it’s called Life Designing. I will explain Life Designing in further detail in another post, but this article is to explain how you can achieve higher productivity without compromising your Results and decreasing your effort. Let me explain.

Let’s start with Results; it is very difficult to give results a grading scale as every job, person, business, and industry sees results in a different way. It is important for you to identify how it is graded and how you are able to achieve results before trying to figure out how to improve it. You don’t go into a new job looking to increase productivity without first knowing how to your job. Don’t put the cart before the horse. Learn how you or your employer sees and grades results. After doing this you’re able to determine the amount of effort is necessary for you to “keep your head above water.” After this distinct standard is understood, then you can determine how to optimize and/or improve.

Effort brings a lot of different factors into play: time, focus, labor, satisfaction and even your personal attitude are all factors that come into play when it comes to effort. For example, while some people try  to increase their level of focus, others are trying to increase their daily satisfaction (love what they do). While some are striving to work less hours, others are looking to decrease the amount of physical labor they undergo. You need to figure out what factor of effort is important for YOU to improve.

You must have a crystal clear vision of what results you want to achieve.

You must have an honest perspective on your level of effort.

A Life Designer is trained and skilled to acquire and analyze this knowledge. There is no easy way to do this, no tricks, no short cuts. Some people keep track of their daily routines on calendars, others keep a journal. These are techniques that help people to internalize what effort goes forth and what results come from that effort.

The following steps are what a life designer follows to help you increase your productivity:

  1. Have your goals written, printed, and posted in a place you will always see and remind you.
  2. Create a systemized process to achieve each goal
  3. Describe what things you need to do to achieve each and every goal
  4. Manipulate your environment to promote and inspire you to work better – This may include de-cluttering your office and home, accountability from friends or co-workers, organization of your files, task/goal tracker to maintain a visual understanding of your progress, and many more
  5. Help you as a person to overcome any obstacle or blocks that are slowing or preventing you from achieving your goal – therapy, meditation, exercise, mentorship, etc.

As you can see, this process goes from surface level to personal as you go down the steps. The fault that many have is that they stop mid-way through the process, never reaching a full makeover they desired, and never truly being MORE productive.

I never stated that you need to buy a new program, or purchase new furniture, or shift your entire daily routine. However this may be a necessary result from this process, every person’s needs are different and thus some must undergo a drastic shift, while others must shift a minor part of their lives.

The goal, of course, is to increase your productivity, where your results increase, and the amount of effort decreases. A true life designer does not give you a hand full of advice and leaves you to work the rest alone. A Life Designer walks this path with you every step of the way until the day comes that you don’t need a walking partner.  Sign up below to try out a Life Designer today and see how your productivity increases in a matter of weeks!
